Step Two:
Your LASIK Evaluation
Pre-Operative Instructions
- Eat and drink as you normally would on the day of your procedure.
- Please do not consume any alcoholic beverages.
- Do not wear any make-up or jewelry the day of your laser procedure.
- Do not wear any perfume, lotions, cologne or aftershave.
- Dress comfortably and note the laser room may be chilly.
- Purchase Eye Scrub or Lid Wipes 3 days
prior to surgery (available over the counter); scrub lashes once a day
either in the morning or at night.
- Your doctor may give you additional instructions at your
evaluation.
Day of Procedure:
Please be sure to arrange for assistance getting home.
- Arrive 30 minutes prior to surgery to meet with your surgeon.
- Your time in surgery is about 7 minutes per eye.
- When the procedure is completed, transparent "goggles" are placed over your eyes for protection when you sleep. (Wear these for about 24 hours.)
- You will need protective sunglasses if still light outside.
- You will be given post-operative instructions and schedule your 1 day post-operative exam.
- When you leave LaserOne, please try to sleep so
your eye will be at rest and heal faster.
